Hidden Treasure

In life, there are always ups and downs or good and bad. Its like a continous cycle but nobody knows when we will go up and when we will go down or what are good for us and what are not. Despite of this, life is always giving us something. Disregard our status, body conditions, or problems facing, we should look at the purpose of everything and figure out what life wants to give us. There might be a hidden treasure underneath the dark, dirty and smelly soil.

Life may give us lessons and opportunities even though we are not asking for it. Even if we lose on a competition, life will teach us something about it. Keep moving and something bigger is waiting for us. Accept if we lose, learn from it and thats what makes us a real winner. Work harder, when we think that we are being belittled by others and they are bragging us down. Life will always motivate us and let us to prove something about ourselves. Be patient, when we dont get what we want or when we are being rejected by the companies we are applying for. We should keep on trying and wait for the biggest event in our lives. Have faith when we feel hopeless, helpless and restless. Remember, have faith, Have God. Seek for Him because He can doubtlessly help us and will never disappoint us.

Never stop learning because life never stop teaching. Keep moving and never stop trying. Always look at the positive side of life. Everything has a reason, everything has a lesson. And this will be the treasure of life that will feed our wisdom. Treasure that is priceless but never useless. In our own dark galaxy, there will always be a sun that will enlighten us.

I Want. I Can.

Delfin Villafuerte is a teacher who indeed loves and values teaching. He was inspired more by one of his students, KC who believed that he is not smart, he is not good but Delfin made him believe that he is. He is encouraging everyone to dream big and do what you want. And according to him, we have to TEACH. We have to Try, Enjoy, Aspire, Choose and Hope.
At first, Delfin didn’t find himself being a teacher. Instead, he once dreamed to be a delivery boy of one of the famous fast food restaurants, Mcdonalds. His teacher then told him that he may pursue that dream but he have to be the best delivery boy ever. This is how his teacher give him hope which he wanted to also do with KC, his student and with everyone of us. We should dream anything that will give us happiness and do whatever you want and as what people today say, YOLO-You Only Live Once. “Who am I to tell your dream is small?” he said. He was also bothered, reckless, broken, and disturbed back then. Buth then things made him realize what he loves. He loves our country-Philippines and also the teaching vocation which are the reasons why he choose to TEACH. It is where he finds happiness and see things meaningfully. And because with these, he tried and hope as what he also wanted KC to do who almost lose hope for believing he is not enough to achieve his dreams.
“I want. I can” when we finally discovered what we want, we should then work for the words “I can”. It would be then easy to us to pursue what we want. It will be alright if we fail. Lets just keep in mind that we tried, and when we try, we already succeed. “I want. I can” make our desired dreams real and keep in mind that “You can do it”.

Fake news, Fake fun

Filipinos are naturally humurous that they still manage to smile, laugh, and be positive of everything even in a hard situation. It can be reflected on how they behave in social media. We often make fun of things through our creativity but, is it still alright if we spread things to make fun? Or are we just making ourselves look funnier?

Fake news spreads much faster than real news according to a recent study. Currently, through the modernization of techmology, we are really in to  different social media sites. “Those people who spread fake news may do so because they may gain status by sharing new information” Gross said. We often make fun of things that may consider as a factor why these things even though are fake, they spread fast. It is because theres something humorous about it. In result of this, some of the users might believe those. Especially when the site focuses on how they could gain shares and make themselves popular or may be just to simple trick people they may use facts. One example of this is the false pages of the politicians in the Philippines like the fake page of Boying Remulla, the Cavite Governor. In the real page of the Governor, the admins there are posting announcements like class suspensions. So the fake one also posting announcements of class suspension eventhough it is not officially confirmed. As a result, there are viewers of the posts by the page believe that it is really an  announcement from the Cavite Governor. On the other way, there are also users that are aware of it and they tend to bash that page.

Through this kind of conflicts in social media, there are so many people are being tricked by the false news. Instead of sharing each other informations, they make things complicated. There will be no problem if we want to have fun or be humorous just think of the ways how we act and make sure it will never ruin ourselves. Therefore as Filipinos and a social media user, we should be careful on how we behave. We should be aware also of the posts that we are seeing and check if the sources of informations from the posts are valid and is it really a trustworthy post. Don’t get be tricked by the fake news.
